Making a Will

What are intestacy rules

These are the default inheritance rules that apply should someone die without having made a will.

Under intestacy rules, assets are often passed to unintended beneficiaries; unwanted trusts with limited powers of investment can be created, and undesirable inheritance tax consequences may occur.

In addition, intestacy will often lead to a greater delay in obtaining a Grant of Probate than if a will had been made.

Glamorgan Financial can advise on the best way to avoid the application of intestacy rules.
